Two Worlds: Islam and Christianity
When visiting cities of different traditions, in the west and east, one of the first things we see and question is: Why do Western men enjoy women taking off their clothes while Muslim men want them to put more on?
To be able to answer that question, we must first ask: Is there a relationship between naked facts and naked women?
If this were the case, the opposite should also be valid: to conceal women is to create a lack of truth.
Sadly, we have to see that nowhere will you find people more allergic to the truth than where the woman is fully veiled, covered from head to toe.
Woman’s Image makes God’s Image
The price for that is very high. Those who refuse the woman to be openly admired, are also the ones who blow themselves up.
Why? Because they feel deprived of love: the first woman they have before their eyes is the one of an imprisoned woman, their mother. She is an object that must be kept at a distance. She is unworthy to the point of shame.
Furthermore, if we associate God with Truth, we can easily observe how the image of the Woman and the image of God are linked. We can even observe how, to a certain extent, they are inversely proportional.
What is the Difference between God and Allah?
The West has given to women, even though within a patriarchal frame, more freedom than anywhere else in the world, the West has since antiquity, conceived God as divine and human at the same time.
Greek and Roman gods father humans demigods.
Christianity follows this same tradition: its cornerstone is incarnation. Jesus is God and human. This is the stumbling block between the West and Islam.
The way we conceive of God is fundamental in determining the type of relationship human beings have with each other.
God breaks off from Man just as Man breaks off From Woman
When the man abandons the woman, God detaches from both.
Look at Muslims as an example. Their God, couldn’t be more transcendent, beyond and above the range of normal or physical human experience.
A Muslim is often shocked to find the Christian God is essentially Love.
The Muslim God has no relation to human beings, at least in the way we conceive of it and we find so natural.
The Muslim God is detached from anything human, representing only the law.
This is why Muslims bow down to the ground when they pray. We cannot help but notice the attitude of the Islamic man towards his god. It is the same as that of Muslim women towards men in general.
God keeps distance from Muslim men because they keep a distance from women. Such nonattendance doesn’t go without serious consequences. where the woman is absent as main figure, which is her natural role as major life giver, the man loses orientation, doesn’t know any more where to go.
In the end, life becomes unbearable to him: without the woman’s and consequently without God’s protection.
All this may seem strange, it is nevertheless an absolutely verifiable phenomenon at the cultural level. The God of Islam is anti-maternal: lives far away, separated from the man.
Because of this kind of relationship with the man, he completely takes away man’s self-confidence. The man’s duty, is to be submissive and obey God.
God only embodies the law. No love is involved in the man-god relationship. One could say it: no “female staff” in Islam.
If the child is part of the mother, the mother is psychologically part of the child. If a child is deprived of the mother, her value is also destroyed, and the man feels a void. He will have no confidence in life, or in himself.
He feels enraged because of what he was deprived of and would most like to have. And reacts by developing a disproportionate ego that allows him to do anything. For him, nothing can ever compensate for the interior void that only the woman, the object prohibited, can fill.
The Alternative
In the West it is exactly the opposite: the woman lives close to the man. So God lives next to human beings and shares their feelings. He loves them.
Human beings share God’s divine nature. God’s incarnation couldn’t have happened if Human and Divine lived far apart, if they had nothing in common.
Humans, because they share God’s nature, develop great confidence in themselves, which makes them highly creative.
So it is not by chance that science developed in the West.
A Look Back
It was during the Renaissance, that modern science began from principles and structure rooted in ancient Greece.
Yet, never and nowhere in the modern world do we find a major glorification of a woman’s nudity.
Science aims to get as close as possible to reality, to “naked” facts. And the Renaissance exalts naked women. It is impossible to detach. from the idea that there is a primary connection between woman in her nakedness and reality in her nakedness.
In short: Naked Woman = Naked Truth.
Difference between Islam and Christianity
The cult of beauty is identical to the cult of the real world. The counter-proof comes from Islam. There a naked woman is blasphemous, and the truth is equally blasphemous and tabooed.
Where the woman is not allowed to be seen, and her beauty not visually celebrated, intellectual life is extremely deficient. But not because of lack of intelligence. The reason is the atrophy of creativity due to the atrophy of the woman’s spirit.
If you don’t walk for your whole life and one day you decide to get up and go, you can’t. Even if you want to.
As soon as the eastern world liberates the woman, it will be able to become even more creative than the West with their thirst for newness and for truth.
